TD x Union:
Greener Holiday

For the holidays, rather than take a tree down, TD and Union Station built one from the ground up in collaboration with Montreal artist, Laurence Vallières. The Tomorrow Tree was made using only up-cycled, reusable materials and serves as a reminder that there are many ways in which we can make the holiday a little greener.

Plantable
Ornament

This idea was further extended by an ornament made of seed paper to be given a second life and planted.

Ornament: “When your tree comes down, another plant can grow. This biodegradable ornament contains real wildflower seeds. After the holidays, plant it and give your ornament a second life.”

Wrapping
Station

This idea was further extended with a gift-wrapping paper station, where the eco-friendly recycled kraft paper had tips printed into the design to give the paper a second life.

Reusable paper:
Re-use to wrap smaller gifts.
Use to stuff boxes with fragile items.
Make festive origami.
A canvas for drawing or painting.
